- Title
Detecting disease-associated genes with confounding variable adjustment and the impact on genomic meta-analysis: With application to major depressive disorder.
- Abstract
The article offers information on a study conducted by the authors to detect disease-associated genes by studying researches on studies in major depressive disorder (MDD). It states that variable selection scheme was created to determine effective confounders of genes. They used meta-analysis methods to integrate information from five studies on MDD. It highlights that adjustment for confounding variables improved detection of biomarkers.
