- Abstract
The article reports on the role of the solubility of carbon dioxide in supercritical carbon dioxide assisted polymer processes. Solubilities of carbon dioxide in polyester resins based on propoxylated bisphenol and ethoxylated bisphenol have been measured using a magnetic suspension balance. In polyester resins, the solubility of carbon dioxide increases with increasing pressure and decreasing temperature as a result of variations in carbon dioxide density.
