- Title
Geosciences: Losing Louisiana.
- Abstract
The article reports on the study conducted by Mike Blum and Harry Roberts regarding the status of the Mississippi Delta in 2009 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. According to the study, there is less sediment coming out from rivers, which is not enough for delta formation. It states that as transportation of sediment becomes lesser, the land within the Delta could disappear, wherein it is estimated that between 10,500-13,500 square kilometers will be submerged by 2100.
