An interview with scientist Jeff Errington from the University of Newcastle, Great Britain, is presented. He discusses the research that he and his colleagues are conducting regarding the L-forms of the bacterial species Bacillus subtilis and relates how the team produced L-form cells in the laboratory. He cites why the team wanted to learn more about the propagation of L-form bacterium and why the phenomenon had not been previously discovered.
