- Abstract
The article discusses the use of word "unadulterated" in extant Greek by historian Herodotus. Topics discussed include use of word "unharmed, unravaged" as adjectives formed with alpha-privative, use of Stesichorus' palinode by tragedy writer Euripides, and use of metaphors for influencing opinions and marking emotions.
