- Abstract
The article discusses a retrospective cohort study of pregnant women to assess the link between cannabis use during pregnancy and adverse obstetrical and birth effects. Topics discussed include an association between the use of cannabis and preeclampsia and gestational diabetes, the potential of an increased prevalence of cannabis use in pregnancy to become a public health problem and the association of cannabis use among pregnant women with preterm birth.
