- Abstract
The article discusses a study which investigated the physico-chemical variables and zooplankton community structure of aquatic habitats receiving municipal sewage in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. It cites the importance of information of biological communities in the assessment of qualities of aquatic systems receiving wastewater. Results showed the highest concentration of ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and orthophosphate in Wadi Hanifah. With regard to the standing crops of total zooplankton, higher amount was observed in Wadi streams as compared to Abu Zabaal lakes.
