- Abstract
The article discusses the case of a 48 year old female incidentally diagnosed with giant thrombosed distal anterior cerebral artery (DACA) aneurysm at a nonbranching site of the right A3 segment. The patient was treated by aneurysm trapping with A3-A3 side-to-side bypass without neurological sequelae. This is the first case where a positive finding of test occlusion under motor-evoked potential (MEP) monitoring led to immediate change of the surgical strategy for treating a giant DACA aneurysm.
