- Abstract
The 800 kg/m³ foamed concrete was prepared by physical foaming using cement, vegetable protein foaming agent and fly ash as raw materials accompanied by pre-wetted glazed hollow beads (GHBs) and fly ash cenospheres (FACs). The air-void structure was characterized by SEM and image analysis software, and the effects of GHBs and FACs on pore structure and performance of foamed concrete were discussed. The results show that proper amount of pre-wetted GHBs and FACs can improve the workability of cement slurry and decrease the drying shrinkage of concrete. 28 d compressive strength and thermal conductivity of the foamed concrete mixed with 10.0% GHBs are 8.81 MPa and 0.2027 W/(m·K). 28 d compressive strength and thermal conductivity of the foamed concrete mixed with 10.0% FACs are 9.36 MPa, and 0.2041 W/(m·K).
