- Abstract
The article focuses on the side effect of imiquimod therapy. A case of a 54-year-old woman is presented with painful papules on her vulva and diagnosed with florid human papollomavirus (FHP). She was treated with imiquimod but after 2 months of therapy, the pain had increased and the treatment was stopped. She then discovered a developing papillomatous lesion exuding serum and pus on her vulvar. The author says that the repeated applications of imiquimod led to the onset of contact pemphigus.
