- Abstract
This study is about the preparation and the measurement of the optical properties of aluminium black layers obtained by the anodic oxidation of aluminium in an alkaline medium. The characterization and optimization of this surface have been initiated. The programme in the laboratory consists of optimizing the optical properties of the solar coating, which are α = 0.95 and ε = 0.14, and have to be found. The emittance critically depends on the thickness of the oxide surface, while the absorbance depends on both thickness of the oxide and the nickel content. The importance of measuring the hemispherical emittance is emphasized.
