- Abstract
Most CTLA-4 haploinsufficiency patients have T cell lymphopenia with both CD4+ and CD8+ counts below 500 cells/ L, but our patient is the only one reported to have had extrapulmonary pneumocystosis [[4]]. By contrast, patients with idiopathic CD4 lymphopenia ( I n i = 24) most commonly present with fungal infection (25%), papilloma infection (21%), cryptococcosis infection (17%), herpes simplex virus infection (12.5%), mycobacterial infection (12.5%), and less frequently with PJP (4%) [[5]].
