- Abstract
The article offers information on the minimum information about a protein affinity reagent (MIAPAR). The proposal was developed as a critical first step in formalizing standards in reporting the production and properties of protein binding reagents. The roles of affinity reagents include sample identification and detection; protein capture for isolation, purification, and quantification; and functional studies. It also recommends the use of standard naming conventions to provide unambiguous reports.
