- Abstract
Abdominal wall incisions can still cause postoperative morbidity, such as infection, pain and incisional hernia. The abdominal cavity is entered and the inferior mesenteric vein (IMV), the aorta, the duodenum, the transverse colon, and the pancreas are identified. The promising results provided by the complete elimination of the abdominal wall incision must be confirmed by studies with large cohorts of patients.
