- Abstract
The article presents a study which examines the potential of human epidermal growth factor-like receptor-2 (HER-2) as a therapeutic target in treating primary mucinous epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC). Mucinous and non-mucinous epithelial ovarian cancers were analysed in a tissue microarray study. The results revealed a 100% gene amplification rate of HER2 gene in micinous EOCs, but 0% in non-mucinous EOC.
