- Abstract
The article reports on the association and grooming between rhesus macaques (Macaca mulatta) and sambar (Rusa unicolor) at the Sariska Tiger Reserve in western India. It explores the behavior of the macaque and the sambar during the grooming process. It notes that the primates-sambar associations have been observed by researchers at the Bharathari and Pandupole temples and documented the rare interspecific grooming between primates and ungulates.
