Mineralizacja tętnic szyjnych człowieka.

- Abstract
Wstęp. Mineralizacja jest procesem chemicznym zachodzĄcym w określonych warunkach środowiskowych. Warunki panujĄce w tkankach organizmu człowieka sprzyjajĄ tworzeniu się różnego rodzaju faz krystalicznych. Celem pracy było określenie składu mineralnego złogów miażdżycowych tętnic szyjnych w grupie pacjentów, u których rozpoznano krytyczne zwężenia tętnic szyjnych, redukujĄcych światło w naczyniach krwionośnych nawet o 75-80%. Materiał i metody. Materiał do badań został pobrany od 26 pacjentów w wieku 43-71 lat -- 6 kobiet (śr. wieku -- 67 lat) i 20 mężczyzn (śr. wieku -- 61,3 roku) podczas operacji metodĄ trombendarteriektomii przez wynicowanie. Badaniom poddano ziarna mineralne wyseparowane z próbek. Wykonano analizy metodĄ mikroskopii skaningowej (SEM) wraz z mikroanalizĄ EDS, rentgenowskiej analizy dyfrakcyjnej (XRD) oraz spektroskopii absorpcyjnej w podczerwieni (IR). Wyniki. Ziarna mineralne zaobserwowano w 13 na 26 próbek. Obserwacje w SEM pozwoliły stwierdzić, że mineralizacja tętnic przejawia się w formie skupień mineralno-organicznych. Analiza chemiczna EDS wykazała zwiększone stężenie wapnia i fosforu, a XRD potwierdziła obecność fosforanów wapnia, reprezentowanych głównie przez hydroksyapatyt i fluorapatyt. Widma otrzymane w wyniku przeprowadzonych badań metodĄ IR wskazujĄ także na występowanie w próbkach grupy PO43-, materii organicznej oraz ugrupowań wodorotlenowych. Materia organiczna w próbkach jest reprezentowana przez fosfolipidy oraz cholesterol. Wykonane analizy dowodzĄ, że szerokie pasma pochodzĄce od kompleksów wodorotlenowych mogĄ pochodzić zarówno od jonu OH-, jak i od czĄsteczki H2O. Wnioski. Fazę nieorganicznĄ złogów miażdżycowych tętnic szyjnych stanowiĄ głównie fosforany wapnia, natomiast organicznĄ -- przede wszystkim cholesterol. W badaniach sugeruje się, że mineralizacja powstaje głównie w miejscach uszkodzenia struktur biologicznych. U chorych z krytycznymi zwężeniami, wymagajĄcymi leczenia operacyjnego, dominujĄ „miękkie", włókniste blaszki miażdżycowe o stosunkowo małej zawartości mineralizacji nieorganicznej.
