- Abstract
This article focuses on the localization of mitochondrial NAD+-specific isocitrate dehydrogenase b.beta subunit gene to human chromosome band 20p13 by in situ hybridization and radiation hybrid mapping. Among the three kinds of Isocitrate dehydrogenases isoforms that exist in yeast and mammalian systems, mitochondrial NAD+-specific isocitrate dehydrogenase has been thought to play a major role in the oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate in the TCA cycle since its activity is regulated by numerous allosteric regulators.
