- Abstract
The article presents an essay titled "Evolution by Any Other Name: Antibiotic Resistance and Avoidance of the E-Word," by Janis Antonovics. It is noted that the increase in resistance of human pathogens to antimicrobial agents is one of the best-documented examples of evolution in action for it directed life-and-death consequences. In this essay, the word evolution is searched by the author through scientific journals published since 2000 for papers dealing with antimicrobial resistance.
