- Abstract
The article presents a study on the constituents of the dried rhizome of Alpinia officinarum Hance essential oil which is 1,8-cineole in Hainan Island, China. It says that the constituents were first reported using gas chromatography (GC) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and the essential oil was analyzed using retention time locked method. The study found that the essential oil of which the major constituent is eucalyptol may be suggested as potential source of food additives.
