- Abstract
found in the Panamanian press regarding the USA strategy of introducing its identity patterns of patriotic values in Panama; how they used the celebration of July 4th --commemorative day of the independence of the United States of America, in the Canal Zone and in Panama City, to achieve identification between Panamanians and patriotic symbols of the empire. The analysis ends with an approach on the reactions of the Panamanian society towards this imperial, symbolic and patriotic display.
