- Abstract
Introdução: Lesões musculoesqueléticas são endêmicas em populações militares, muitas dessas condições estão relacionadas à prática esportiva. Testes de triagem clínica de movimentos auxiliam na determinação do risco e direcionam o treinamento preventivo. Objetivo: Avaliar o desempenho de atletas policiais militares em testes funcionais para identificar associação com lesão prévia. Métodos: Um estudo transversal foi conduzido com 30 atletas policiais, onde foram obtidos dados antropométricos e dados objetivos como tempo de prática e lesões nos últimos 12 meses. Aplicou-se os testes funcionais: Y-Test; Lunge test; Hop Test (Simples, Triplo e Cronometrado) e Amplitude de rotação interna de quadril. Os dados foram analisados com o test t independente considerando p< 0,05. Resultados: Na amostra avaliada, vinte e quatro (80%) apresentaram lesão nos últimos 12 meses, a média de idade foi 36,67 ± 5,71 anos, estatura de 176 ± 0,56 cm, massa corporal de 88,6 ± 12,17 kg e tempo de prática esportiva de 7,6 ± 7,0 meses. Todas as variáveis descritivas não apresentaram diferença significativa. Com relação a análise dos testes funcionais, apenas o Hop Test cronometrado apresentou diferença significativa (p = 0, 057), o que pode sugerir uma provável relação com especificidade de função e aptidão muscular. Conclusão: A taxa de prevalência de lesão musculoesquelética em atletas policiais militares foi de 80%, e o único teste funcional que apresentou diferença significativa de desempenho foi o salto cronometrado.
