- Abstract
The article focuses on use of vintage specimens for paleoembryologic findings through immunohistochemistry at the Institute of Legal Medicine of the University of Bologn. Topics discussed include preparation of a rat myocardium in the phase of fetal growth which are observed with hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining, expression of vimentin in all mesenchymal cells shown by immunohistochemical results and the importance of the specimens collection for immunophenotypic information.
