- Abstract
The purpose of this research was to compile preliminary information on the biological effects of carboxylate system, a dental cement and a reaction product between polyacrylic acid and zinc oxide. The experiment was performed on 14, eight-week old Sprague Dawley rats. Results from the examination of the tissue adjacent to the implants revealed that the Durelon was less irritating at all three stages compared to zinc oxide-eugenol.
