- Abstract
The article focuses on the issue regarding Ferdinand Marcos' presidency in the Philippines. Many politicians and government leaders were in doubt whether the reign of Marcos could be classified as democratic or dictator. This doubt arose since despite the unfair leadership of Marcos, he made a radical change in the Philippine economy. However, most Filipinos with the influence of the Catholic Church showed opposition against presidency in which human rights violations were arising.
