- Title
LOVE AND SENSUALITY IN CHRISTINA ROSSETTI'S "GOBLIN MARKET".
- Authors
Brownley, Martine Watson
- Abstract
The article presents a literary criticism on the poem "Goblin Market," by Christina Rossetti. The author considers it as a mysterious fantasy with entertaining romance, which spun from the elements of folklore and fairy tale due to the application of various kinds of languages with theological meaning. However, he finds problems of interpretation on another level of meaning, since it appeared explicable as either a Christian allegory, or a fairy tale.
