- Abstract
The article presents a study that characterizes the causes of Edwardsiella tarda in different fish species in the U.S. Researchers examined and assessed five species of tilapia and they found visible differences in the response rates of fishes with brain lesions attributed to infection, virulence and diverse strains of the disease. Moreover, they also discovered the presence of Edwardsiella tarda with microbiological isolation as well as polymerase chain reaction.
