- Abstract
Studying the processes occurring under conditions of steam-plasma ignition is an urgent task for creating new types of devices, including the processing of food and vegetable raw materials. This work analyzes the possibility of changing the chemical and physical properties of water that has passed the operating cycle in an induction steam-generator system due to changes in the surface morphology. The initial distilled water is passed through a system of tubular heating elements with a wall temperature of up to 445°C, at a rate of 15 kg/h, then, at the outlet of the device, the water-vapor condensate is cooled and collected. Samples of source water and condensate are subjected to chemical analysis for the presence of impurities. Investigation of the chemical structure is carried out using infrared spectroscopy. The presence of insoluble impurities in the water is studied using atomic-force microscopy. As a result, the absence of steam-gas corrosion of the copper coil and the absence of new impurities in the water-vapor condensate are established.
