- Abstract
The article details a study which assessed the impact of wing shape on the outcome of territorial contests in the damselfly Calopteryx virgo (Odonata: Calopterygidae). The study compared the wing shape and traditional flight-related morphological measures of 27 pairs of winners and losers from experimental territorial contests. It revealed significant differences in the wing shape and size between the fore- and hindwing. But no differences were found between the wings of the winners and losers.
