- Title
The Benefits of CRT: Mechanical Remodeling and Beyond!
- Authors
HAMDAN, MOHAMED H.
- Abstract
The author discusses chronic resynchronization therapy's (CRT) benefits. In patients with congestive heart failure (CHF) and intraventricular conduction delay, CRT has emerged as an adjunctive therapy. It has been demonstrated to improve hemodynamics through the resynchronization of ventricular contraction and relaxation. The effects of this therapy on the electrophysiological properties of the heart remain poorly understood.
