- Abstract
Increased implementation of telemedicine has made it possible for patients' continuity clinicians and subspecialists to remotely attend family meetings during their workday if such sessions are scheduled as a visit. By preparing patients and families, taking advantage of helpful technologies that enhance inclusion, practicing new communication skills, and being open about our own struggles, we can maintain our connection with patients and families. Clinicians can disclosure personal information with patients and families if they do so with caution and with awareness of their patients' needs.
