- Abstract
The article focuses on the growth of the innovative therapy research in Brazil for the treatment of Chagas disease in the area. It mentions that the country has two ongoing phase three trials for Chagas drugs such as the BENEFIT trial and 130-person trial testing which examine the effectiveness of benznidazole and micronutrient selenium respectively. Meanwhile, a group of Brazilian scientists will conduct research to find answers to basic questions relative to HIV-Chagas co-infection.
