- Abstract
This research presents and validates a social entrepreneurship training model based on competencies considered key to the good performance of social entrepreneurs. An empirical study was carried out on a sample of 103 entrepreneurs in Galicia, Spain, with a relatively similar distribution of men (57%) and women (43%) in a field where men predominated. The study analyzes a total of twenty transversal competencies, which are divided into three types: Instrumental Competencies; Interpersonal competencies, which includes a) intrapersonal skills and b) interpersonal skills; and Systemic competencies. Five exploratory factor analyses were carried out in relation to the classification of the competencies model based on five large theoretical dimensions. The five dimensions show a very acceptable Armor theta reliability index. The instrument used was a selfperception questionnaire that included the twenty competencies of the proposed social entrepreneurship model. The factorial analyses confirmed the five key dimensions considered in the theoretical model: personal, interpersonal, technical, organizational and social environment.
