- Abstract
The article discusses the challenges faced by clinicians when psammomma bodies are seen on cervical smear, referring to two case histories of women. A 44-year-old woman was referred for colposcopy after a routine smear had revealed psammoma bodies but no cellular atypia. Diagnosis revealed that she had endosalpingiosis. A nulliparous woman aged 47 was referred after a routine cervical smear had shown psammoma bodies but no dyskaryotic cells.
