- Abstract
The article focuses on the case of an 8-year-old girl with degraded tympanostomy tube in her left middle ear space. In her noncontrast computed tomography (CT), images of her temporal bones were analyzed to see her left middle ear space and to gauge the extent of the mass. A rare complication of tympanostomy tube placement, medial migration of tympanostomy tube is caused by technical errors in insertion, biofilm formation and atrophy of the tympanic membrane.
