- Abstract
Surgery consultation suggested that the treatment of the aplastic anemia should be the priority and that the condition of the patient was too severe for him to undergo thyroid cancer surgery. In a case of a patient with pure red cell aplasia with thyroid medullary carcinoma and lymph nodal metastasis reported in 1982, the patient underwent hemithyroidectomy after transfusion [[4]]. Dear Editor Aplastic anemia (AA) complicated with a solid tumor is generally found in inherited bone marrow failure syndromes, such as Fanconi anemia (FA), which is characterized by congenital malformations, bone marrow failure, and a predisposition to cancer [[1]].
