- Abstract
The article offers insight to a study conducted for analysing cardiac ultrasound in hip fracture surgery. It informs that a multicentre randomised trial was conducted for examining the impact of preoperative focused cardiac ultrasound on mortality and morbidity in patients having surgery for femoral neck fractures. It also informs that the findings suggest that preoperative focused cardiac ultrasound may have an effect on mortality.
