- Title
Ethical Considerations for the Conduct of Antidementia Trials in Canada.
- Authors
Fisk, John D.
- Abstract
The article focuses on ethical dilemmas facing clinician-scientists in clinical trials in persons with dementia in Canada. There is difficulty in finding a balance between respect for the autonomy of the individual and the protection of vulnerable persons in studies with acceptable risk/benefit ratio. Clinical trials should be conducted by people knowledgeable about legislation and ethical guidelines.
