- Abstract
This research aims to analyze the representation of different fields of knowledge in Brazilian government documents related to nutrition and preventing non-communicable chronic diseases. Data was collected from the Web of Science database, resulting in 5,166 scientific documents. Through analyzing these documents, d-words were constructed to evaluate eight government documents using the QDA Miner software. The findings revealed that the Brazilian government has kept up with scientific production and developing strategies and guidelines to reduce and prevent obesity. The predominant subjects in these documents were related to applied social sciences and health sciences, accounting for 29.7% and 26.7%, respectively. The environment emerged as a crucial factor for achieving effective behavioral changes. The most relevant themes in the analyzed documents are understanding risk factors, promoting health, and primary care. These themes represent the strategies the Brazilian government employs to combat obesity and related diseases, aiming at maintaining good health and well-being among the population. Integrated governance, intersectoral collaboration, and efficient resource allocation among different government levels are highlighted as fundamental to the success of health policies.
