- Title
The challenges of turbocharging.
- Authors
Becker, Edward P.
- Abstract
The article offers information on increase in the market share of turbocharging engines in the U.S. and challenges of heat and friction associated with turbocharging. It presents a report by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) which reflects on change in design of turbocharging engines from eight-cylinder engine to four-cylinder engine in 2013. It suggests to use the fluid being engine oil that act as lubricant to minimize friction and as a coolant to remove heat.
