- Abstract
The author, an eighth grade science teacher from Massachusetts, discusses the development of a genetics lesson based on students' eye color using Analyzing Digital Images (ADI) software developed by John Pickle. The genetic aspects of eye color variation, DNA analysis for crime investigation, and digital photographs of students' eyes are discussed, as well as charts of eye colors, computers used in the lesson, and assessment of students at the end of the activity.
