- Abstract
In order to explore the effect of traditional Chinese medicinal materials on microbial metabolism, 20 traditional Chinese medicinal materials were extracted with three solvents of water, ethanol and ethyl ether, respectively. The contents of main components were determined, and the extract liquid was used to test the growth of Aspergillus oryzae. The results showed that extraction liquid of rhizoma polygonatum, Chinese wolfberry and almond could improve the colony diameter, and transparent circle diameter, which could promote the growth of A. oryzae and improve the starch hydrolysis of A. oryzae. The ethanol and ethyl ether extracts from Costus, Acorus calamus and Chinses sinensis can increase H/C, which increased by 89.82%, 85.03% and 53.89%, respectively, which showed significant promotion effect on starch hydrolysis ability. The results of statistical analysis of the main chemical components and growth indexes showed that saponins in Chinese medicine were the key factors to improve the starch hydrolysis ability of A. oryzae.
