- Authors
Mclean, Simon
- Abstract
The author discusses the impacts of using building information modeling (BIM) used by construction engineers on managing the design and construction of buildings. The author mentions the use of quantity surveying under the threat of advance BIM as many of the traditional measurement, taking-off and pricing functions. The author also recommends that surveyors should consider the cost of implementation, software and processing capacity of BIM.
