- Abstract
Gastroschisis is a congenital abdominal wall defect that occurs laterally, and often at right, of a normally closed umbilical ring. Our aim was to report a fetus/child of consanguineous parents who presented gastroschisis and clubfeet identified by ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Fetal MRI showed a defect in the closure of the anterior abdominal wall, which was not covered, with exteriorisation of segments of the small intestine and colon (gastroschisis).
