- Abstract
The article presents a study on the complex formation of olivomycin A and its derivatives with deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). It discusses the function of the natural antibiotics of the aureolic acid group which include olivomycins. It concludes that the parameters of complex formation with DNA are a significant factor of biological activity of compounds, and the optimization of the structure of derivatives is essential for rational design of compounds with required properties.
