- Abstract
A 76-year-old male patient presented because of generalized pruritus, which was more intense on the scalp, hands, and genitalia. Moreover, the patient's severe pruritus and dermatitis was attributed to the likely additional insult caused by the bites of the wood parasites. Occupational skin diseases are a major topic in dermatology as they include cutaneous conditions which are caused by a wide array of work-related triggers.[1] Chronic hand eczema, irritant contact dermatitis, and allergic contact dermatitis are examples of the skin conditions which can arise because of workplace-related agents.
