- Abstract
Skin biopsy revealed sclerosis throughout the dermis, with preserved appendages, absence of inflammatory infiltrate, and presence of adipocyte entrapment by collagen bundles (Figure 2a). The stiff skin syndrome: case series, differential diagnosis of the stiff skin phenotype, and review of the literature. Segmental stiff skin syndrome (SSSS) is a rare connective tissue disease resulting from gene mutations that induce dermal fibrosis.
