- Abstract
The article highlights a pilot project that tests the effectiveness of the North Carolina Area Health Education Centers (AHEC)-based curriculums that would use the topic of diabetes to teach quality improvement techniques. The authors note that project met some of its goals, including reviewing core topics in diabetes care and quality improvement concepts, but were less successful in producing sustained change in practice.
