- Abstract
The nine papers included in this special issue represent a selection of extended contributions presentedatthe13thInternationalConferenceonHybridArtificialIntelligentSystems,HAIS2018, held in Oviedo, Spain, 20-22 June 2018, and organized by the BISITE group and the University of Oviedo. By means of an off-line study, machine learning techniques were applied to analyse the possible relationship between the analgesic dose changes performed by the physician due to the hemodynamic activity of the patients and the evolution of the ANI. The final contribution, Gonzalez-Cava et al., focuses on the application of machine learning techniques to assist the clinicians in the administration of analgesic drug during general anesthesia.
