- Abstract
The article discusses research which investigated in-hospital mortality risk factors associated with Staphylococcus aureus bacteremia (SAB) infection in patients receiving daptomycin. Topics explored include the administration of empiric antimicrobial therapy to patients with SAB infection, the univariate and multivariate analyses of clinical variables such as central venous catheter use and source of infection, and the recorded therapeutic effectiveness of daptomycin.
